Penyebab Infeksi Saluran Kencing. Infeksi saluran kencing merupakan reaksi peradangan terhadap masuknya bakteri/mikroorganisme kedalam saluran kemih. Dikenal juga dengan nama ISK uncomplicated yaitu infeksi saluran kemih tanpa disertai kelainan fisik/anatomi dan struktur. Sedangkan ISK complicated disertai kelainan fisik/anatomi atau ada penyakit lain secara umum. Infeksi saluran kencing terjadi karena bakteri bisa masuk melalui :

Ascending – sebagian besar bakteri memasuki saluran kencing dengan cara ini.

Hematogen – melalui pembuluh darah

Langsung dari organ sekitar yang telah terinfeksi sebelumnya

Beberapa factor yang mempermudah masuknya bakteri antara lain adalah kebiasaan menahan kencing, kurang minum hingga produksi urine sedikit, stress, diet yang salah, kerusakan urethra saat melahirkan operasi dan lainnya. Bahkan naiknya hasrat berhubungan seksual saat bulan madu juga bisa memicu infeksi saluran kencing.

Gejala infeksi saluran kencing bervariasi dari yang tanpa gejala sampai yang berat. Cystitis adalah gejala yang paling umum pada infeksi saluran kencing yang ditandai dengan gejala-gejala berikut :
